“Join the Great Southern Community to celebrate  Fair Food Week, with events running from October 1st to 8th. Business of the Soil Field Day – with Rick Bieber, Grant Sims and Col Bowey, Wholefood from the Ground up Cooking Master Class with Jude Blereau, Fervor Long Table Dinner Celebrating Food and Agricultural Innovators of the Region, events finish on Sunday October 8th with a free community Food for Thought Festival in the Albany Town Square from 10am – 4pm. The 2017 Food for Thought Festival on October 8th is wholesome family fun day celebrating the regions  existing  local  food  and  agricultural  scene.  Celebrating and exploring the  best  of  Great Southern food – the people, the products and the possibilities. The morning will be shared with key industry speakers.  Rick Bieber (No Till Farmer USA),  Jude  Blereau (Nourishing Wisdoms) and Paul Iskov from Fervor.  Relax  over lunch and through into the afternoon  with  live  music  by  Soulin Wild and  Vibe  Sound  Collective. 

Drop into to ‘Tent Talks’ to listen to a range of short talks by local business’s and organisations leading the regions vibrant and innovative food and agricultural industry.  Enjoy the regions food and beverage stalls, visit community groups and  business stalls supporting agri tourism and paving the way for sustainable food systems.  Southern  Edge Arts  will  keep the  kids  entertained  with  free face  painting  and  circus  workshops and gardening grubs.
