10:00 am To 5:00 pm

390 Huon Rd, South Hobart

Event Description

Think ‘backyard blitz’ but permaculture style. It’s a fun and fantastic opportunity to learn (free workshops throughout the day), laugh (great company) and lengthen your lifespan through getting immersed in all things Permaculture 🙂

How does it work? Basically a bunch of strangers come together for one day to transform someone’s garden into an edible oasis – they also leave as friends not strangers :-). Originating in Melbourne, Permablitz is now a global movement, you can read more about it by visiting

For this particular Permablitz we’ll be working on a garden which has already started being transformed into an urban permaculture haven.

Key projects and workshops on the day will include:

  • building earthship (tyres rammed with earth)  retaining wall s
  • designing water into your landscape
  •  building earthship (tyres rammed with earth)  retaining walls
  • urban food production
  • planting fruit trees
  • and landscaping on steeeeep slopes.

The hosts provide a hearty lunch, hugs and homebrew at the end of the day 🙂

Permablitz is one of the best ways to talk, think and DO ‘fair food.

Can’t make this one? Why not host one of your own!

RSVPs are essential as numbers are limited.
