Melbourne Farmers’ Markets is thrilled to have their first mid week, weekly farmers’ market at the University of Melbourne.
The market is right in the heart of The University of Melbourne Parkville campus with the support of The University and Carlton Connect Initiative and is positioned on Union Lawn and South Court. It’s central, shady and a wonderful space for the many students and staff to meet regional Victorian producers and shop direct. Enjoy the atmosphere of a summer picnic with the integrity of an accredited farmers market!
To keep up to dates with market news and stall holder specials, be sure to follow our University of Melbourne Farmers’ Market Facebook page and get involved with #UniMelbFM!
Special events for Fair Food Week will include:
– Youth Food Movement workshop
– Cooking demonstration by Fair Food Challenge
– Local ladies from Culture Kitchen holding a street food stall featuring dishes from their Middle Eastern and Ethiopian backgrounds. All cooked on the spot and made from local ingredients!

Melbourne Farmers Markets is a not-for-profit social enterprise running eight exemplary farmers’ markets. Our farmers markets are dedicated to Victorian food and producers, regional food cultures, seasonal produce, biodiversity, sustainable farming practices and the strengthening of relationships between the consumer and the producer. You won’t find wholesalers or big businesses at our markets, just real food direct from the people who produce it.
