What is Fair Food Week?

2015-ffw-box-300weCoordinated by the Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance (AFSA), to support the Peoples’ Food Plan, Australia’s Fair Food Week shines a light on our new story of food. Over the week — 16-25 October 2015 — you will discover events across the country that will attract, intrigue and entertain you:

  • community garden tours and workshops
  • forums — workshops — speakers
  • farmers’ fairs — farm tours
  • films — food swaps — and more, much more.

Themes for 2015…

Fair Food Week is a self-organising, national event. To help organise your events we have four themes to plan them around. We ask that you organise your fair food event around at least one of these themes:

  • Theme 1: Regenerative farming | Theme 2: Community gardens | Theme 3: Healthy soil | Theme 4: Permaculture

Thanks to our Fair Food Week 2014 sponsors and supporters

Here’s a big big thanks to all our major sponsors and supporters whose imagination and generosity made the Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance’s second national Fair Food Week 2014 a reality.

Fair Food Week 2014 was coordinated by AFSA, the Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance to support the Peoples’ Food Plan process, Australia’s first crowdsourced policy directions document.
